Privacy policy

Effective 28 October 2026. Operated by Tejas Salvi, Mumbai, India ("we").

What we collect

• Without an account: nothing personal. Your reading progress, bookmarks and notes stay on your device. If product analytics is on (Settings → Privacy), we receive anonymous product events tied to a random install id — for example "plan started" — never verse text, notes or your identity.
• With an optional account: your email address and the bookmarks, notes and reading progress you choose to sync across devices. Sign-in is by one-time code; there is no password for us to see.
• Purchases: handled by Google Play or the App Store. Our subscription partner RevenueCat processes receipts and sends us transaction events with a pseudonymous id so we can unlock Premium and record the ₹100 Gaushala allocation. We never receive card or bank details.
• AI study (Premium): when you tap an AI study action we send only the verse reference, the study mode and your interface language to our server. No personal data is sent to the model provider.
• Notifications: the daily reminder is scheduled on your device. We do not need or store a push token for it.

Why we use it

To run the app, sync your data when you ask us to, fulfil purchases, honour the Gaushala commitment, and improve the product. We do not sell personal data and do not show advertising.

Where it is processed

Account and sync data: Supabase (Mumbai region). Purchases: Google Play, Apple, RevenueCat. We process data under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act 2023 and, where it applies, the GDPR. Data is encrypted in transit.

Retention and your rights

Synced data is kept while your account exists. You can delete your account and all synced data at any time from Settings → Account → Delete account in the app, or by following the steps on our delete account page. Deletion is immediate and irreversible. For access requests or questions, email [email protected].

Children

The app is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect their data.

We will post updates to this page and note material changes in the app.
